Terms of Service — LumenBill

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LumenBill, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

LumenBill is a business management tool for solo freelancers. It helps you manage contacts, projects, tasks, invoices, time tracking, and client communications (including invoice delivery and contract signing). LumenBill is not a legal, financial, or tax advisor.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. LumenBill is a single-user system — one account per person.

4. Payment & Billing

After your 30-day free trial, continued use requires a paid subscription ($19.99/month or $190/year). All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel anytime from your settings. No refunds after a billing cycle begins.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LumenBill for any illegal activity, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, or to interfere with the service in any way.

6. Data & Privacy

We handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Termination

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel at any time. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUMENBILL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts of New York.
